About

About the COVID Transition Initiative

The COVID Transition Initiative is an informal, independent, multi-stakeholder, pan-European group of leading experts, patient advocates and policymakers.

Our purpose

The CTI helps policymakers move from emergency response to a sustainable, evidence-based approach to COVID-19 — supporting clearer communication, better-integrated vaccination and more resilient immunisation systems.

How we are organised

The initiative works through three workstreams — Awareness, Adoption and Adaptability — led by its members, with two Co-Chairs (Prof. Leif Erik Sander and Prof. Paolo Bonanni) and a Policymaker Champion.

Independence

The CTI was initiated and made possible by financial support from Sanofi. Its outputs remain the independent opinions and responsibility of the CTI group members. Independent editorial control ensures all outputs reflect members’ expert opinions, not funder interests. Governance & Independence →
