Prof. Jaime Pérez Martín

Jaime Jesús Pérez Martín has been the Deputy Director General of Prevention, Health Promotion and Addictions and Disease Prevention of the Regional Ministry of Health of the Region of Murcia since 2020. He has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Salamanca, and is a specialist in Preventive Medicine and Public Health at the University Hospital of Salamanca. He is a University Expert in Vaccines by the Complutense University and has a master’s degree in research methodology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

He has previous work experience as a Public Health technician by competitive examination of the Region of Murcia (2004), and as Head of Public Health Service of Lorca (2018). He has had international stays at the Pan American Health Organization (3 years) and the University of Antwerp. He has more than 20 scientific publications, communications, and book chapters. He is the President of the Spanish Association of Vaccinology, belonging to the Working Group of Social Vaccinology.
